 2009 – NHF Day Celebration

Ross County Sportsman & Wildlife Club will be host to this event.  A celebration featuring muzzleloader demonstrations; bow shooting instructions; and demonstrations; fishing tips and demonstrations and deer head mounts and other displays.  Concessions and games of chance available. Free.

 

2009 – Elk Horn Lake Hunt Club NHF Day Celebration

Elk Horn Lake Hunt Club holding its annual Family Field Day in conjunction with NHF Day. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a donation of $5 will include lunch and outdoor events such as archer, fishing, shotgun and rifle ranges and seminars on other outdoor activities. Children must be accompanied by parent or responsible adult and a registration from and liability waiver must be signed and returned by Friday, Sept. 25. A youth pheasant hunt will be held the same day for youths age 12 and older with a valid hunting license.

 

2009 --  First Shots Program Offered on NHF Day

This Saturday, Sept. 26th, is National Hunting & Fishing Day (NHF Day). In connection with NHF Day, Ranges in Connecticut, Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana, New Hampshire and Ohio will be hosting First Shots seminars on Saturday. There is also a program in Phoenix, AZ on the 24th. If you know someone who wants to get started in recreational shooting, attending a First Shots seminar can be a great way to go. Organizers provide everything one needs — guns, ammo, targets, safety gear, and instruction. Here’s a list of Ranges that will be holding First Shots Seminars in connection with NHF Day:
