The Heidelberg Rod and Gun Club, a U.S. Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation organization serving the U.S. military and civilian personnel of the Heidelberg, Germany, area, is planning a community-wide event to celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day. The American hunters, fishermen and sports shooters will be joined by their German counterparts, along with archers and paintballers, to host an event complete with a trophy show, demonstrations and lessons, live music and great food. In addition to recognizing National Hunting and Fishing Day, the event will also celebrate the camaraderie and friendship between the Germans and Americans who comprise the membership of the club.
